Where the money goes

Through Doorway to Dignity and its sister project, Dinners for Dignity, Wherever the Need aim to raise £200,000 to provide ecosan toilets for 5,000 people in the Cuddalore District of South Eastern India.

In rural areas we build toilets, sometimes with washing units attached, for individual families. In more cramped urban areas we provide community complexes of ecosan toilets, bathing and washing facilities. We offer similar facilities to both primary and secondary schools.

Our experiences of providing ecosan toilets and sustainable water supplies have seen massive improvements in the lives and livelihoods of individuals and communities, and helped many thousands out of poverty.
